ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POST OF RESEARCHER CUM FIELD INVESTIGATOR (SHORT-TERM) RESEARCH PROJECT TITLED: “UNVEILING WOMEN’S WORKPLACE REALITIES: A STUDY OF THE FUNCTIONING OF DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSIVITY IN HYDERABAD AND BENGALURU’S IT INDUSTRY”
Applications are invited for the post of Researcher cum Field Investigator for a short-term, full-time engagement under the research project titled: “Unveiling Women’s Workplace Realities: A Study of the Functioning of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity in Hyderabad and Bengaluru’s IT Industry”, It is supported by the National Foundation for Corporate Governance (NFCG), CII.
This study examines the impact of laws, ESG mandates and DEI measures on India’s IT sector. Using a mixed-methods approach, the study will analyse company reports, DEI/ESG policies, and conduct field surveys and interviews to assess workplace inclusivity and gender equity.

Position Details :
1. Researcher cum Field investigator
Role: Researcher cum field investigator
Duration: 3 months (full-time engagement)
Remuneration: INR 30,000 per month (consolidated stipend)
Field Work: 50 days in 3 months per person
TA/DA: INR @ Rs.750/ per day of field work
Location: Hyderabad, Bangalore
Number of positions: 1 in Hyderabad and 1 in Bangalore
Responsibilities:
Design and coordinate research tools/timelines; conduct desk reviews; manage data ethically; draft briefs, reports, presentations; liaise with stakeholders, administer surveys & interviews; record accurate data; maintain confidentiality; follow research ethics; coordinate with company representatives.
Eligibility:
Master’s in Law, Gender Studies, Sociology, Public Policy, Development Studies, or related fields; research and fieldwork experience; familiarity with DEI, labour laws, ESG; MS Office proficiency (NVivo/SPSS/R preferred); strong local language communication skills (Kannada or Telugu); and ability to follow protocols and travel locally
