NALSAR UNIVERSITY OF LAW

Accredited in 'A++' grade with a score of 3.52 on a four point scale by NAAC in Cycle 2

Partnering with us

NALSAR, as an institution of higher learning, perceives that a University has the responsibility of working for a better tomorrow. This role has two basic facets – of creating, in the general sense, a more wholesome society; and citizens, more particularly, who are able to appreciate their role in the same. This duty is the interlinking of information and knowledge, and neither can be generated in isolation from those outside the strict institutional set-up. NALSAR believes in institutional conviviality and convergence to improve and to bring out the best in ourselves and others.

We wish to continue to strengthen relations with the existing partners, while forming new alliances in order to strengthen the research, teaching and public policy initiatives of the university.

Research

The university is open to exploring nascent or niche areas of law by establishing a chair on a chosen area. The Chair which would carry the name of the founder would be responsible to lead research and reflection in the field. Usually Chairs are established for senior professors but if appropriate for research in a particular area the university is open to making the position available for middle level professionals.

Other than the long term nurturance assured by a chair, prospective partners can strengthen research by sponsoring research on a particular issue or area. The University is also open to working in collaborative projects and making joint bids.

Legal and Inter-disciplinary dialogues across universities

We do believe that collegial conversations are vital for knowledge generation. As a university of law, NALSAR especially seeks to set up multi-disciplinary conversations on cutting edge issues of law and policy.

Student–Faculty Exchanges

As of now we have various exchanges arrangements outside the country but would like to open ourselves to more collaboration within country. The university is wishing to strengthen exchange agreements for faculty, post-graduate and research students with institutions in India and abroad.

Legal Training

NALSAR runs law training programmes for the public and private sector. The special feature of these programs is that they are not generically transacted but are customized according to the needs of the client. For example law training for police officials will focus on those areas of law knowledge of which is required by the officials. The university can tailor its training according to the needs of institutions sectors seeking it.

Institute Moot Courts

Insofar as moot courts are often a site at which law students can be encouraged to do fresh thinking happens. You could assist the University in its tasks of disseminating knowledge and undertaking public debate by sponsoring moot court competition around new fields of legal knowledge.

Institute Gold Medal

In order to both reward and encourage excellence in a specific field the University has a scheme whereby interested donors can institute gold medals to reward achievements in a particular subject or generally or by particular students in a specific field or generally.

If you are interested in any of the above or would like to strengthen the University’s library resources or have any other suggestions, we would love to hear from you. Please take a moment to fill the form below.
