Prof. (Dr.) Srinivas Subbarao, Dean and Professor at the Department of Management Studies, and Head of the International Office at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, was felicitated at the Parliament of Victoria, Australia, for his contributions to strengthening academic and people-to-people ties between India and Australia.
The honour was conferred during his visit to Melbourne, where he engaged with leaders and institutions working towards enhancing international academic partnerships under the Victoria India Strategy 2025-2030. Prof. Subbarao was recognised for his efforts in promoting the Campus Startup Culture initiative, which has seen dialogues in India and is now finding resonance in the Australian higher education ecosystem.
The felicitation ceremony was hosted by MP Iwan Walters, Parliamentary Secretary for Multicultural Affairs, at the Parliament of Victoria. The visit to Parliament was facilitated by the Ausind Bridge Foundation, led by Prof (Mr.) Deepak Vinayak OAM JP, and supported by Prof. (Mr.) K K Dash, Honorary Director, India Office, Ausind Bridge Foundation.
In his remarks, Prof. Subbarao expressed his gratitude to Iwan Walters for the reception, and acknowledged the support of the AusInd Bridge Foundation and Prof. Vinayak and Prof Dash in promoting India-Australia academic diplomacy. He also extended his heartfelt thanks to Prof. (Dr.) Srikrishna Deva Rao, Vice-Chancellor of NALSAR, for his visionary leadership and encouragement in advancing NALSAR's global engagement efforts.
NLU Prayagraj, in the second episode of 'Beyond the Judgements' series, interviewed Justice Manoj Kumar Gupta, Senior Judge, Allahabad High Court. In this interaction Justice Gupta shared his personal experiences and legal journey. 'Beyond the Judgements' is a series launched by the NLU, Prayagraj, under the leadership of Sr. Prof. (Dr.) Usha Tandon, the Vice-Chancellor (RPNLUP), on April 7th, 2025, with an interview of Justice Arun Bhansali, Chief Justice, Allahabad High Court. This initiative is designed to offer students a deeper insight into legal matters, the lives, experiences, and values of judicial leaders with an aim to expand the perspectives of aspiring lawyers regarding the practical wisdom of the judiciary.
