Charan Tej
Mr. Charan Tej has a Bachelor’s of Technology degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Pondicherry Engineering College and then completed his Bachelors in Law from Govt. Law College, Pondicherry. He has a Masters in Corporate and Securities Law from Pondicherry University and a post-graduation in Sociology. He is currently pursuing doctoral research in Clinical Legal Education at NALSAR, Hyderabad. Before joining NALSAR, he served as Assistant Professor at CHRIST University, Bangalore.
Prior to becoming an academic, he was a diligent attorney who specialized in Environmental Litigation and Land Laws. He was the Assisting Counsel at the Office of the Government Pleader, High Court Judicature at Madras between 2016 and 2018 where he was involved in several important cases such as Isha Foundation forest encroachment, Coovum restoration and Ennore oil spill among others.
He is also a member of the network of university teachers, trainers, and practitioners dedicated to advancing the teaching and practice of environmental, climate change and sustainability law across Asia under ADB's Law and Policy Reform program - Developing Environmental Law Champions.
His primary areas of specialization include Environmental Law, Corporate Law, Public Interest Litigation and Legal Clinics.
