NALSAR UNIVERSITY OF LAW

Accredited in 'A++' grade with a score of 3.52 on a four point scale by NAAC in Cycle 2

NALSAR ADR

Our Aim

The  Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Committee was constituted to promote and popularise the fast-emerging arena of alternate ways of dispute resolution at NALSAR. It was originally established as an extension of the NALSAR Academic Committee and was upgraded to a full-fledged committee as a part of the Student Bar Council in 2017.

Our aim is to develop and foster an active ADR culture at the University, enabling students to participate in national and international competitions. As a part of its activities, the committee conducts annual ADR workshops and panel discussions, organizes its annual intra-University Neg-Med and Client Counselling selections rounds, and hosts its flagship ADR competition, the NALSAR Mediation Tournament. We position ourselves as a platform for ADR enthusiasts worldwide to work with the NALSAR student community to promote knowledge creation.

Our Work

The ADR Committee is responsible for administering all ADR-related activities on the campus. Over a comparatively short period, the committee has earned a reputation for itself in the legal arena of the country. The committee has not only constantly produced phenomenal results in national competitions but proudly displays accolades earned in international events as well. Amongst multiple other landmark achievements, as of 2024, we are the only Indian university to have won the prestigious ICC Paris Mediation Competition, one of the oldest mediation competitions in the world.
