
Dr. Neha Agarwal

Dr. Neha Agarwal holds a Ph.D. in Law, awarded with the support of the UGC-Senior Research Fellowship, for her work on balancing state interests and the right to privacy, with a focus on India’s data protection laws. She joined NALSAR University of Law as an Assistant Professor of Law in 2025.
A gold medallist from both NALSAR and Osmania University, she previously served as a faculty member at Osmania University College of Law, Hyderabad, from 2019 to 2024. During this period, she taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Family Law, Alternate Dispute Resolution, and Public International Law. In recognition of her research contributions, she was conferred the Dean’s Award for Best Researcher in 2023.
Her research interests lie in the exploration of the intersection between constitutional law and contemporary socio-legal issues, with a particular emphasis on various facets of informational privacy. She has contributed to academic discourse in these areas through publications and conference presentations.
In addition to her academic pursuits, she has served as a Senior Teaching Consultant for Indian Constitution and Polity, mentoring aspirants for the UPSC Civil Services Examination across leading institutions in India.
During her student years, she was an avid mooter, debater, quizzer, and athlete, winning numerous medals and awards at national and state levels.
With over seven years of teaching experience, she brings a grounded and realist approach to legal education, enriched by her passion for non-fiction literature and travel.
